“It’s a pleasure to announce 2016 Sustainability Report.

We have made good progress towards the objectives we had set, and we are moving forward to our 2020 Sustainability Goals. We are pleased to announce what we have accomplished so far thanks to the efforts of the people in our organization. And we are doing this keeping in mind that it is important for us to do all that is in our hands to be proud of our company, knowing that we are acting responsibly within the possibilities of the luxury industry.”

Message from the Chairman and CEO

Achieving a balance between the needs of society and the planet has become an increasingly important priority for government bodies, businesses, and society at large over the past few years. As a socially responsible company, Puig is conscious of the environmental challenges facing the world today. That is why in 2016, we have continued to pursue our 2020 Sustainability Plan, which was first implemented two years ago.

It is abundantly clear that a great many of the objectives we have achieved to date have been possible thanks to the hard work of our employees. Throughout 2016, they have played leading roles in a wide range of internal initiatives undertaken with the conviction that the company’s continued success depends on making sustainability an integral part of our daily operations.

Managing our business activities and meeting the needs of our customers also supposes making the wisest possible use of natural resources and demonstrating good environmental stewardship. The engagement of not only our employees but of our suppliers as well and our alliances with organizations specializing in environmental management are fundamental to this process. In this sustainability framework, one of our most outstanding commitment is the fight against climate change. For that, since 2010, Puig calculate its organization carbon footprint to define objectives and develop more effective greenhouse gas emissions’ reduction policies.

We invite you to browse through this report and learn more about what all of us at Puig have done this year to enhance our sustainability via 13 specific programs aligned with corporate activity pillars (Product Stewardship, Sustainable Sourcing, Responsible Logistics, Responsible Manufacturing and Employees & Facilities) with concrete goals to be achieved by 2020, many of which have already been materialized. We strive to act as responsibly as we can within the constraints of the luxury industry with the aim of making the world a better place for generations to come by striking an ever better balance between our environmental stewardship and our business operations. Thanks to everyone for making this possible!
